We wet our whistle on the hottest summer blockbuster of 2019; that’s right, we saw Kevin Costner’s Waterworld, a swashbuckling adventure on the post-apocalyptic high seas featuring fleets of jet skis, a very grumpy merman, and offensive gender politics. Almost as enjoyable as converting your own urine into potable water.

We journey through the Internet tubes to the Matrix simulacrum of autumn in New York. It’s You’ve Got Mail, Nora Ephron’s influential romantic comedy with all of the 90s tropes and none of the charm. Your heart will melt as creepy, wealthy businessman Tom Hanks stalks Meg Ryan’s cloyingly cute, but completely vapid, small bookstore owner, and manipulates her reality through catfishing.
